M. C. Chambers

Shaper’s Veil was a good read with interesting characters though it took me a while to get into the world Ms. Chambers created. The main protagonist was a strong individual with many faces, none of them kind. His counterbalance is a woman who is weary of the losses in her life and constantly dreads yet another, which is wearing. When she begins to regain strength I found myself able to breathe a bit easier. By the end I realized the plot was not the usual predictable plot but contained a few surprises. I like that.
